I was born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and my heart has always been rooted in this community. As a mom, wife, and educator, I have seen firsthand the power of connection, belonging, and advocacy, and I am honored to bring both my lived experience and leadership to the SEPSA Board.
In 2020, what began as a simple mentoring opportunity with one of my students grew into something far bigger than I could have imagined. That experience became the foundation of a nonprofit dedicated to advocating for education through recreation—creating inclusive spaces where learning feels joyful, movement builds confidence, and every individual knows they matter.
Why did you join the executive committee?
As a proud member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, I am deeply driven to build meaningful partnerships and to ensure that everyone feels seen, welcomed, and valued. I believe our community grows strongest when we lead with compassion, representation, and intentional opportunities for all to belong.
